Handmade watch strap made with beautiful, light, silky and very durable Nordic Deer leather from Ahlskog tannery, Finland.
The watch bands both, inner and upper sides are made of Ahlskog tannery Nordic deer leather. It is very light and comfortable to wear. The leather do not stretch during wearing.
Hand stitched with waxed thread. Thread colors are possible to customizes. The thread choice is presented under the listing images.
The thickness of the watch band is 2 – 2.2 mm.
All our products are manufactured entirely by hand only traditional methods which are over 100 years old. Without the use of mechanical means.
In Finland there are about 200 000 reindeer living in the northern part of the country. The reindeer husbandry area covers about 36 % of Finland’s total area and reindeer may graze freely in that area regardless of landownership. Reindeer husbandry is socially and ecologically sustainable livelihood. It provides living for large number of people in the harsh North.

Each leather has distinct character, some with beautiful pull-ups, some smooth, some textured. Due to the natural variations in the leather, no two are exactly alike.
